XML Sitemaps and IndexNow: Generating Dynamic Sitemaps in ASP.NET Core and Announcing Changes
A sitemap is a hint to Google: changefreq and priority are ignored, lastmod is used only when verifiably accurate, and a file holds at most 50,000 URLs and 50 MB. We stream a sitemap from EF Core and measure it with 108,000 URLs, evict the output cache on publish, set up IndexNow for Bing and Yandex, and look at a build-time sitemap in Angular and mertozen.com's sitemap.
