What does a JSON formatter do?
API responses and logs usually arrive as a single, hard-to-read line. The formatter indents it for reading; minify does the opposite and strips whitespace to reduce size.
Is my data safe?
Yes. The tool runs entirely in your browser; the JSON you paste is never sent to any server.
What happens with invalid JSON?
Validation shows the line and column of the error. The most common mistakes are trailing commas, single quotes and unquoted keys.
